This former scaffold yard in Forest Hill, south east London was transformed after gaining planning consent on a very difficult site. The proposal took shape in the form a single storey subterranean one bedroom house with courtyard, green roof and private access from the street. The building was an example of what could be achieved on a small complex site incorporating considered design and balancing a restrictive budget.
